Landscapes

The paintings I produce are as a result of places that I have visited and have had an impact upon me. The simplicity of Tuscan life, the rugged beauty of the Northumbrian landscape are examples that provide me with the inspiration to paint mood landscapes. I love Italy and I love the North of England, so many of my paintings are rooted in these places, indeed I had an exhibition of work in 2017 called Northumbria- North- Umbria which reflected this.

I continue to learn and explore how landscape mood is affected by time of day and light and will be producing more from my travels as I explore our own country and abroad
