Welcome
Hello and Welcome to Bede art and Calligraphy Group website. We are people from South Tyneside who want to paint and learn more about art and calligraphy. Our group comprises a wide range of people from different backgrounds and ages, we meet every Friday from 9am until 12 noon (except public holidays).
We welcome anyone who is interested in art; it makes no difference if you are a talented artist or have never before picked up a brush or pen, there are no expectations except enjoyment.
We have visiting artists who help us to grow in skill and understanding, we visit exhibitions, we travel to do art ‘en plein air’ (outdoors) and we exhibit our own work.
All materials are provided free of charge, the only charge we make is £3 subscription per week which helps us to top up our funds so that we can ensure that materials are available.
If you would like to drop in to explore and expand your creative talent, email us at bedeartcalligraphy@arcadianart.co.uk or phone Terry Harbinson 07963046263 or if you know a member just ask them!
No worries, no pressure, just enjoyment of art.
